Vehicle location is useful for route progress, remaining distance and customer visibility, but GPS alone does not provide a complete legal HOS picture.

HOS data needs a verified source

When a supported HOS-capable provider is connected, mapped and fresh, RoadReady can use supported clocks for operational ETA planning. If that data is unavailable, the system can use planning fallbacks while clearly indicating the source.

The connected ELD/provider remains authoritative and drivers must follow applicable legal and carrier rules.

ETA should combine route and operating context

Road distance, multi-stop sequence, location freshness and available HOS context all affect the expected arrival. A static straight-line estimate is not enough for real dispatch work.
